Resources for Healing

This is a page for the way out, not another tour of the wound.

You have already lived the worst of it, in real time, in your own life. You do not need to be marched back through it. So what you will find here is simple: real help if you are in danger right now, and then a handful of tools for the part almost no one talks about, the healing side, the slow walk home to yourself.

If you are not safe right now, start here

You do not have to give an email, sign up for anything, or talk to me first. If you are in crisis or in danger, please reach for one of these.

988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Call or text 988, any hour of the day or night.

National Domestic Violence Hotline. Call 1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788.

If you are outside the United States, your country has its own crisis and domestic violence lines. Please use them. Your safety comes before everything else on this page.

Go deeper, when you are ready

The book: It Was Never You. I wrote the book I needed and could not find. It is not another tour of the wound. It is about the way out, about what comes after you have named it, when you are finally ready to stop surviving and start coming home to yourself.

It Was Never You

The podcast: Gaslight to Gold. Honest conversations about what healing actually looks like after narcissistic and covert abuse. Not the highlight reel. The real, nonlinear, spiral-shaped truth of it.

Podcast

The newsletter. Where I write my way through this work in real time, one essay at a time, for the woman who has read every book and still wants to feel free.

Wild Liberation™. When you are ready not only to recover but to come all the way home to yourself, this is the deeper work, with support, alongside other women who know exactly what this road is made of. The door is open whenever you want it. There is no rush, and there is no pressure. There is only an invitation, from someone who has stood where you are standing, to keep going.

A few things I want you to understand

If you are still in the fog, hold onto these. They are the truths it took me the longest to believe, and they are the ground everything else is built on.

Your body knew before you could prove it. The wrongness you keep feeling is not paranoia; it is the oldest, most loyal part of you telling the truth your mind is being talked out of.

It was a machine, not your weakness. You did not stay because you were weak or stupid. You stayed because you were standing inside something built, piece by piece, by someone who knew exactly what he was building.

The bond was chemistry, not a character flaw. What grew in you was forged by the alternation of cruelty and tenderness. It does not loosen the moment you understand it. It has to be starved, slowly, which is why none of this happens fast.

High functioning is not the same as healed. You can know every term and every red flag and still not feel free. Understanding what was done to you is not the same as being free of it.

It was never you.

Come sit with me

If something in you exhaled while you read this, that is the part of you that already knows.

You do not have to walk it alone.
